Celebrate Dev Anand's 100th Birthday

PVR INOX, are celebrating the 100th birth anniversary of legendary actor Dev Anand with a weekend festival of four of his milestone films.

The festival will take place on September 23 and 24, 2023, in 30 cities and 55 cinemas across India.

The four films to be screened are: – C.I.D. (1956) – Guide (1965) – Jewel Thief (1967) – Johny Mera Naam (1970)

These films are considered to be some of Dev Anand's best work and have been restored to 4K quality by NFDC-NFAI.

The festival is a tribute to Dev Anand's contribution to Indian cinema. He was a versatile actor who starred in a wide range of films, from action dramas to comedies to musicals.

He was also a successful producer and director, and his films helped to shape the Golden Age of Hindi cinema.

Dev Anand was born on September 26, 1923, in Gurdaspur, Punjab. He made his film debut in 1946 with the film "Humraaz".

He went on to star in over 100 films, and he was awarded the Padma Bhushan in 2001 for his contributions to Indian cinema.

Dev Anand died on December 3, 2011, at the age of 88. He is survived by his wife and two sons.
