Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 was scheduled to release on March 8th, but what’s happening with the game due to the server downtime?

The latest season, titled “Myths and Mortals,” revolves around Greek mythological tales. During last weekend’s live event, the community unlocked the Pandora’s Box, releasing all trapped evils.

Fortnite shared that Olympian giants Hades and Zeus are ruling the mystical realm and players should utilize their mythological artifacts against them in this new season.

New locations include Mount Olympus, Grim Gate, The Underworld, and Brawler Battleground. New powers are available, including Zeus’ Thunderbolt and Icarus’ Wings. Fortnite also hinted at another power to be added later in the Season of Chance of the Gods.

Due to some unexpected issues arising during updates and maintenance, Fortnite’s Chapter 5 Season 2 release is taking longer than usual.

As of Friday morning at 7:06 AM, there were 1,227 reports of the most power cuts on the DownDetector.

They continue to provide updated information about the game’s status on their @FortniteStatus account.

Several fans have commented on the post to express their understanding and frustration.

When are Fortnite servers improving?

At 7:14 AM, @FortniteStatus posted, saying it would take at least eight hours to get everything up and running, and they’re working as fast as they can.
