Don’t Miss the Pokemon GO Noxious Swamp Event: Shiny Skrelp and Dragalge Debut!

The Pokemon GO Noxious Swamp event begins on 19 August at 10 a.m. local time and goes through 22 August at 8 p.m. local time, with a new Field Research quest available. Trainers can participate in an amazing lineup of Mega and Shadow raids, research quests, wild encounters, and more during the event. With the debut of Shiny Skrelp and Shiny Dragalge, players’ excitement is at an all-time high.

Every day, the Noxious Swamp brings in a slew of wild and research spawns, so trainers must keep an eye out. As part of the Research incentives, the event promises encounters with various Poison and Dragon-types. For completing the One-Star to Mega raid battles, one can earn event bonuses and other Pokemon GO products. This guide covers everything players need to know about the Noxious Swamp event this year.

Pokemon GO: Noxious Swamp Event Field Research Tasks and Rewards
The Noxious Swamp Event grants players access to and completion of an exclusive Field Research mission. The event’s theme is reflected in the rewards, which include encounters with several Poison and Dragon-type monsters in Pokemon GO. Multiple Field Research experiences are available; the majority of these encounters have Shiny variations. The event masquerades as a Shiny collectors’ festival, offering Mega awards for some of the most powerful Shiny Pocket Monsters. In addition to Pokemon encounters, players can earn in-game items such as Super Potions, revives, and Mysterious components as prizes for completing chores.

Participants will also receive additional bonuses throughout the event, such as double Pokemon GO Catch Candy, increased Team GO Rocket balloon encounters, and an additional complimentary Raid Pass everyday by spinning Gym Photo Discs. Trainers can participate in many Shadow raids in addition to receiving these bonuses. These Shadow raids include encounters with two Shiny Shadow monsters: Shiny Shadow Nidoran and Shiny Shadow Sneasel.

 

Other Shiny variations encountered during the event include Shiny Skrelp, Shiny Galarian Weezing, Shiny Druddigon, Shiny Turtonator, Shiny Xerneas, Shiny Yveltal, and Shiny Mega Salamence. The Noxious Swamp has introduced a plethora of in-game activity for players to perform in exchange for hefty rewards.
