WhatsApp Users, Beware! Hackers Are Targeting Your Accounts With This New Trick
WhatsApp has a vast 2 billion user base, making it a tempting target for hackers. Milad Alemi, a digital specialist, recommends that users enable two key options to safeguard the security of their WhatsApp accounts.
First, the security notifications function should be enabled. This feature is especially important if you use WhatsApp on several devices or intend to use the new function that allows you to use two phone numbers on the same device. If you enable security notifications, anyone attempting to update your account settings will receive a code notification on your primary device. To enable this function, go to WhatsApp settings, Account, Security Notifications, and toggle the Show Security Notifications on This Phone toggle.
Second, enable two-factor authentication. This feature allows you to generate a PIN code, which adds an additional degree of security to your WhatsApp account. You can also include an email address in case you forget your PIN number. When you re-register your phone number on WhatsApp with two-factor verification enabled, you will be prompted to enter your PIN. This prevents hackers from effortlessly adding your account to a new device. You can turn off this function whenever you want.
You may dramatically improve the security of your WhatsApp account and protect yourself from potential hacking attempts by following these instructions and enabling these options.
