Actor Yet Jodi Balfour is still expected to appear in a significant capacity, as she plays the role of Ellen Waverly, the Chair of NASA’s Intergalactic Council. Balfour has been a part of the alternate history drama since its debut in 2019 and carries an unresolved storyline from the Season 3 finale.

In For All Mankind Season 3’s conclusion, as the acting President of the United States, Ellen revealed herself as a lesbian, making history for American viewers. Her conservative Vice President Jim Briden (Randi Oakes) suggests that she resigns from office. However, her future remains uncertain, leaving room for Balfour’s character to possibly return or to pave the way for new leadership.
Balfour, who previously portrayed astronaut Ed’s wife in Season 3, won’t be the only cast member not making a return.
